Wallace Learns to Swim

In a forest far, far away there was a pond, with water as clear as the sunny sky. On its edge lived a teeny-tiny frog whose name was Wallace.  Wallace loved to jump, and jump, and jump at the edge of the pond, but he never once jumped into the pond.  The other frogs on the pond would tease him, Wallace, Wallace come into the water and dance Else we'll come over and chase you with a pan! Wallace, Wallace come into the water and prance Else we'll come over and chase you till you run! Wallace would just look at the other little green frogs swimming on the pond. And then he'll shrug his little green shoulder and jump and jump and jump on the edge of the pond until he grows tired and can't jump any more. You see, Wallace had a little secret, he didn't know how to swim. But he was afraid to ask someone to teach him how. And he was more afraid that someone would find out that he can't swim. Maddy (A Zombie Short Story)

Last year I submitted a horror short story to a website called Spinetinglers.com. This is a UK based website that accepts submissions for stories that send shivers to the spine, be it horror or science fiction or some heart warming story. Every month they select winners whose stories get featured on their website and also get paid. It took me several months to finish this story. I wrote the first two paragraphs and then just left it in my hard drive for several months and forgot about it. Literally, I've forgotten I was writing this thing and only remembered about it when I was cleaning my computer for no longer needed files. So after several months I finally finished it, my first horror story. Yey! I was so impressed with my writing so I decided to immediately submit it to Spinetinglers and waited for my price. I even ignored their warning not to write anything with a plot where everything that happened was just a dream. Yeah, I thought it was that good. ...
